I would recommend this cottage, especially to dog owners, not only was the cottage dog friendly complete with dog treats, the pub across the road was also dog friendly, even serving a beer for dogs. The dunes and beach were a short walk away; returning to the cottage after a walk on the beach, relaxing in front of the fire with our dog at our feet was perfect. Miss Z, Norwich, Norfolk 01 March 2011
The cottage is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. The decor is really tasteful, with gorgeous finishing touches; it's a real home from home. The village is great and you're right at the heart of it; we recommend a walk on the spectacular beach and dunes, followed by tea and cakes at the Dunes Cafe. The pub just over the green is very welcoming to families and serves good food and ale. All in all, it's a perfect place for a really relaxing break - we didn't want to leave! Mr K, Stalybridge, Cheshire 28 February 2011
The cottage was lovely with a great feel to it. It was ideally located with great access to the beach and local eateries ie the cafe on the beach and the pub. If you have small children, Dinosaur World & Bewilderwood are well worth a visit. We will definitely return to Winterton at some point.
Mrs O, Pontefract, West Yorkshire 04 November 2010
Lovely detatched cottage which is fantastic value for money, looking through the visitors book there are more people wanting to return than there are weeks in the year, which says it all. The owners are delightful, and are obviously keen for people to enjoy their cottage. Mrs D, Driffield, East Yorkshire 20 October 2010
What a lovely cottage set in a beautiful village only 2 minutes walk from the beach. We had a wonderful stay in April Cottage, it was really cosy and clean, the bath was a dream and the sea side bits and bobs were a nice touch. You are a walk away from the PO general store and local chip shop. The beach itself is breathtaking, we were lucky to see a couple of seals. It has been a wonderful break and we hope to go again next year. Mrs N, ORPINGTON, Kent 01 August 2010
We returned today from Winterton-on-Sea. We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage which is very well equipped and in an excellent location - so close to the post office, general store and pub where they serve very good food. The dunes and beach are also very close and the Dunes cafe is very popular and well worth a visit. This is a very dog friendly village; it seems that every corner you turn someone has put a bowl of water out, dogs are welcome in the pub and the owners of April Cottage obviously love dogs too as there were doggy treats and biscuits in the cottage. The small back garden is a real sun trap (we were fortunate in having very hot weather). Everyone in the village was very friendly and made us most welcome. We enjoyed visiting lots of local places and in particular found Waxham Barn very interesting (and the cake is to die for). We have never been disappointed with Hoseasons Cottages and this is another one to add to the list.

April cottage is beautiful and in a fantastic central position in this lovely village. Mr B, HUNTINGDON, Cambridgeshire 12 June 2010
A delightful little cottage, with a pretty courtyard, lots of lovely welcoming touches that make it feel like home. We have stayed their twice with our dog and will book again! Ms W, FELIXSTOWE 05 May 2010
This is a very cosy, tastefully furnished seaside cottage, perfect for a small family, near shops, pub, beach. Mrs F, SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, Essex 21 April 2010
Seaside place from a dream! This is a super cosy cottage, with lots of little touches, perfect for a small family (there is a double, a single bedroom and one pull out bed). It was so nice to come back to after a day boating or walking - very nicely furnished, very clean, and looks recently refurbished, with everything you could need (including a seaside set and kids films in the cupboard)! There is an electric heater in each room, so on a colder day, it heats the room up very quickly.
The local, friendly pub is 1 minute away, check their daily specials, for fresh fish dishes! Places to visit: Cromer - north - amazing seaside town - crabs is the speciality there so make sure you order one. Horsey Mill - with a walk along the water. Great Yarmouth - Tide and Mill museum, Elizabethan Museum and the rollerskating rink on the seafront
Mrs F, SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, Essex 20 April 2010
A superb location, very close to the beach as stated, and the cottage was very well equipped and of very comfortable standard - just like a home from home. Miss N, HITCHIN, Hertfordshire 21 February 2010
Because it was 30 seconds from the dunes which lead to the beach which was fantastic. 1 minute to the local pub which had good drinks, great food and a roaring log fire. I bet the garden is good in the summer. The cottage next to us was selling fresh produce from their allotment so there was never a shortage of fresh vegetables. And the location made access easy to any towns where we might need more. 10 minutes up the road was a farm shop with an excellent selection. It had everything you needed for a great get-away. Mr S, ST. ALBANS, Hertfordshire 14 January 2010
A lovely cared for cottage, with lots of extra little touches that makes it feel a bit more special than the rest. A pretty little courtyard, sheltered from the wind, where you can sit with your glass of wine and relax. We will definitely return. Ms W, FELIXSTOWE 15 September 2009
The location of the property is ideal, being in a very pretty village, just a minute from the local pub, and a few minutes from the long, sandy beach. Mr. B, Coventry, West Midlands 08 September 2009
Perfect place for a break. Quiet, private garden, clean and comfortable, luxury bath, lots of big fluffy towels, a lovely welcome pack complete with wine, beach really was as close as the website said, 2 mins and your toes were in the sand! Marvellous beach, went on forever in both directions. Loved the cafe too, great home made cakes. All in all a very relaxing break! Mr C, BRACKLEY, Northamptonshire 07 September 2009
April Cottage is a quaint cottage, beautifully furnished and equipped, in a really lovely spot. The village is very picturesque, the beach is probably the best I've been on in the UK, and there were plenty of places to visit and things to do in the vicinity. We are already thinking about booking for next year! Mrs C, SANDBACH, Cheshire 31 August 2009
What a wonderful place to stay. Perfect location and just what we were after for a relaxing week away. The log burner worked wonderfully well on the one chilly evening we had. The girls (age 3 and 6) loved the daily walk to the safe beach. Many places of beauty and interest not too far a drive away either, but the viallge had everything to offer, inlcuding tasty fish and chips. We'll definitely book this one again! Mrs T, Brighouse, West Yorkshire 30 July 2009
Accurate website, easy directions and instructions and the accommodation was more than we expected. The location was ideal for our holiday needs. Thank You Hoseans, we'll certainly be booking a cottage through you again! Mrs T, BRIGHOUSE, West Yorkshire 27 July 2009
A lovely cottage in a great location close to a dog friendly beach (all year). A good pub, shop, post office and chip shop are very close by. Great breakfasts and cakes at the Dunes Cafe, and a walk along the beach or dunes takes you to the busier Hemsby where you can find the amusement arcades and candy floss. In the other direction you reach Horsey on the Broads. Mrs R, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire 06 June 2009
It was a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location - we had a lovely, peaceful weekend. Miss S, COLCHESTER 05 June 2009
